Importance of using Sunscreen

Repeated and excessive sun exposure play a major part in visible skin damage and aging, because collagen and elastin are fibers that give skin its even and youthful appearance are easily damaged by ultraviolet (UV) radiation. There are two types of UV light that harm your skin: UVA and UVB. A broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF15 or higher, protects you from both, preventing signs of skin aging such as redness, fine lines and wrinkles, loss of firmness and elasticity, hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone and texture.

This is why sunscreen is one of the most important and effective products to use in your anti-aging skincare routine. Sunscreen should be applied after cleansing on a daily basis, and re-applied throughout the day. Also, you should never rely on the SPF in your makeup, simply because you don’t use enough of it to give you full protection. Layering is the key – apply your daily moisturiser with SPF and then layer your makeup with SPF over the top.
