How To Use Our New Dual Peptide Sheet Mask

What is a sheet mask?

Of all the masks currently available in the skincare industry, sheet masks are a relative newcomer. Simply put, it’s a mask in a “sheet” form that is typically infused with hydrating ingredients. The biggest difference between sheet masks and other masks, is that sheet masks work as a physical barrier that seals your skin with nourishment and hydration. The physical mask prevents the evaporation of beneficial ingredients.

Why did we develop our Dual Peptide Sheet Mask?

As our skincare range is stocked by plastic surgeons, dermatologists and skin clinics we felt the need to offer an additional product to help calm, heal and restore skin post invasive, and anti-aging treatments. Designed to supercharge your skin with moisture, our Dual Peptide Sheet Mask consists of a thin bamboo and cupro sustainable fibre, soaked in 20 ml of serum. This is no ordinary mask. We have our biophysicist hand make each individual one as opposed to others that come straight off a production line. Our actives are not cheap as we source the best raw ingredients as possible (in this case, peptides) and ensure our formulations contain ingredients that work synergistically with each other as opposed to many other products that don’t. This is a true cosmeceutical sheet mask.

The multi-purpose formulation combines two effective peptides, hyaluronic acid, vitamins B3, B5, zinc, hydroxytyrosol and mangosteen extract to hydrate, repair and plump skin. We have also designed this cosmeceutical sheet mask to assist in building new collagen production whilst reducing fine lines. Argireline Peptide (acetyl hexapeptide-8) has muscle relaxing properties which work to reduce the degree of fine lines and wrinkles while Collagen Peptide (tripeptide-29) works synergistically with other ingredients for wound repair and instant plumping.

Since the sheet seals in all of the ingredients, you get powerful active ingredients that penetrate deeply into the skin. Another great benefit of sheet masks is how convenient and easy to use they are. Unlike some face masks that come in jars and tubes and can get messy when it comes to applying and removing the mask from your face, sheet masks are easy to apply and remove. There is nowhere you can’t mask; you’ll even find The Skincare Company office staff using them in front of their computers!

We recommend this mask for anyone who needs an instant hydration boost. We also made sure that our Dual Peptide Sheet Masks are suitable during pregnancy or when breastfeeding!

How do sheet masks fit into your skincare routine?

In general, we recommend to cleanse, sheet mask and then moisturise afterwards. More steps can be added (serums, Facial Scrub or derma rolling) to transform your routine into a home facial.

Sheet masks are great to use at night or during the morning before applying makeup. We love using our sheet mask at night followed by our Hydrating Moisturiser, Eye Treatment and Hydration Booster to seal in all that hydration and wake up glowing.

You can use sheet masks as often as you want but we recommend using our Dual Peptide Sheet Mask at least once a month and prior to special events for added glow.

How-to sheet mask:
  • Cleanse and dry your skin. This removes all impurities on the surface of your skin, so your cells are ready to absorb the active ingredients in the serum.
  • Remove the mask from the pouch.
  • Unfold the sheet mask and place it on your face aligning the openings to your eyes, nose, and mouth. Apply any remaining serum all over your neck, decollete and hands.
  • Sit back and relax for 10-20 minutes. Our sheet mask pairs well with a glass of wine, your favourite Netflix show or a bubble bath.
  • Peel off and discard the sheet mask.
  • Gently massage the excess serum into your skin for maximum nourishment.
  • Apply your favourite moisturiser to seal in all of the nutrients.
Can I wear the sheet mask for longer than 20 minutes?

Sheet masking should be kept between 10-20 minutes and should never exceed 30 minutes. Leaving sheet masks on until they dry may actually cause the sheet mask to reabsorb the moisture from your skin.

What should I do with the extra serum in the pouch?

The leftover serum can be used all over the neck, decollete, hands, or on any part of the body that requires extra hydration.

The Skincare Company Dual Peptide Sheet Mask is high-quality treatment with pure ingredients suitable for people of all ages, skin types and schedules.
