Dynamic Duo – Vitamin C and HB5 Serums

Vitamin C Serum

Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) is an essential vitamin, necessary for collagen production and skin repair. Within the skin, vitamin C promotes the repair of aged, damaged skin and protects skin from the oxidative damage caused by sunlight. Vitamin C is also a potent anti-oxidant and free radical scavenger, which aids in detoxifying and healing. Topical application of vitamin C can lead to a finer, smoother skin, with improved color, tone and texture.

Hydra B5 (Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin B5) Complex Serum

In addition to helping the skin retain moisture, hyaluronic acid is an important natural component of skin. It is particularly important for wound healing since it provides a matrix to enable collagen to form. These properties mean that hyaluronic acid is important for keeping the skin looking young by improving the skins ability to repair. Another key ingredient in the Hydra B5 Complex is vitamin B5, also known as pantothenic acid. Vitamin B5 has been shown to aid in wound healing, soothe burns and decrease the effects of acne.

These two serums, when used together as part of your morning regime, form an excellent source of essential vitamins and active ingredients to promote younger, healthier looking skin. Using only premium raw ingredients and expertly manufactured in Australia by a leading compounding pharmacist exclusively for The Skincare Company, these two serums, along with the Exfoliant and Vitamin A serums, come together to form a formidable team to help you fight the signs of aging.

Rebecca Judd – Rebecca Judd Loves – August 2015

If you’ve been reading RJL for a while you’ll know that I’m a serum CONVERT. Yep, since I turned 30 and realised that my next milestone birthday is 40 (gulp), I started thinking that the good old cleanse and moisturise routine (with the odd IPL session) simply wouldn’t cut the mustard anymore and so I started experimenting with serums. Why? Simply because I want to preserve the youthfulness of my skin, plus I find the use of serums stops pigmentation and also acne (yes, I still get those big bangers on my chin from time to time).

I started using The Skincare Company (TSC) about 4 months ago and have since converted my family and friends. Created by Joanne Auld (CEO of Pamper Clinic) in conjunction with leading plastic surgeon, Mr Peter Callan, and a prominent bio physicist, TSC uses only active ingredients based on scientific and clinical research which creates real results and here’s the best part….. it won’t break the bank. Serums can be super expensive but the TSC products are far more reasonable (and we’ve got a 25% discount for RJL readers- read on). And did I mention TSC products leave the nasties out and aren’t tested on animals? Even better!

So what exactly do I use, why do I use them and when? Keep reading!
